Panforte Margherita

Panforte is one of Siena's most famous sweets. A spicy, dense cake made from nuts, candied fruit, spices, a touch of flour and a sugar/honey syrup. 

The bittersweet flavour of almonds is combined with honey, spices, candied citron and orange and dusted with powdered sugar. Enjoy on your holiday cheeseboard!
