OVERVIEW
Jacobsons Fine Foods offers three convenient ways to shop with us. You can visit us in-store, online or connect with us by phone. For those local to the Ottawa area, we offer local delivery and curbside pickup service, and for those outside of our local delivery area, we offer Canada-wide shipping for shelf stable items.
By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by our Terms of Service, including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. Our Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.
LOCAL DELIVERY (OTTAWA)
Through our local courier, we offer delivery of our frozen foods, cheese and fresh pastries. Order processing times are typically within 4 to 72 hours and are scheduled Monday to Friday. Our local deliveries typically arrive between 11:30 am and 5:30 pm. Prior to delivery, guests will receive an email notification once the order departs our shop.

Our local delivery is offered through a third party. They provide us with the courier service and platform that allows us to deliver our products and services to local residents.
CURBSIDE PICK UP
Guests who shop with us online or by phone have the option of picking up your order via our contactless curbside service.
Order processing times are typically within 4 to 72 hours and are scheduled Monday to Saturday. While we always strive for the same day or 24-hour service, please note we cannot guarantee this as a usual commitment. Prior to pick up, guests will receive an email notification or phone call once the order is ready to be retrieved. Orders can be collected between 10 am and 4 pm, Monday through Saturday.
When you arrive at Jacobsons Fine Foods, please call 613-746-6002 to let us know you've arrived. We will need your four-digit order confirmation number and the full name the order was placed under to retrieve your order. All contactless curbside orders will be delivered to vehicles located in our parking lot off of Champlain Avenue.
CANADA-WIDE SHIPPING
We are pleased to offer Canada-wide delivery for of our shelf-stable food items, including our boxed collection of gifts and many of our online grocery items.
All our shipments are delivered by either FedEx or Canada Post at a flat rate of $10 for all Canadian Provinces and $25 for the Territories and Nunavut. Delivery times are typically 1-7 days, depending on their destination. Please allow for extra time for orders shipping in the weeks leading up to major holidays, such as Christmas and Easter.
We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality service to all our customers, and we only offer shipping across Canada on grocery or gift items that are specifically designed to travel well. That means we don’t ship cheese or large gift baskets because we cannot guarantee our products will arrive in pristine condition.
Some orders may require a signature for delivery if there are special handling requirements or considerations that may affect the quality of the product. For example, if part of your order cannot withstand freezing temperatures, we will require a signature on delivery, so the item won’t be left outside for a prolonged period of time when delivered.
WINTER SHIPPING GUIDELINES
Please note that many of our shelf-stable products, such as oils, dressings, beverages, and pickles, are susceptible to damage if exposed to temperatures below freezing. To help ensure your order is protected from freezing temperatures, orders containing liquids may not ship out immediately. In these cases, our team will contact you directly to arrange a refund or a later (warmer) shipping date.
As always, we are doing our best to ensure each delivery is processed and arrives as quickly and as safely as possible. However, our guests may experience delivery delays due to carrier challenges and extreme weather beyond our control. If you have questions about your order, please contact us at ottawa@jacobsons.ca.
CHANGES TO THIS SHIPPING POLICY
We reserve the right to modify this shipping policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of changes to our services, and how it impacts you.
