COWS 1 Year Old Cheddar

Known for their premium ice cream, Cows Creamery of P.E.I. did not venture into the artisan cheese world until 2006 when company owner Scott Linkletter visited Scotland and brought home with him a recipe for clothbound cheddar. An impressive line of Canadian cheddars - and accolades - soon followed.

This award-winning cheddar is aged for twelve months and is made from the milk of cows grazing on the rolling countryside of Prince Edward Island. A firm yet crumbly cheese that rewards each mouthful with a smooth, rich flavour, it is very much infused by the local island terroir.

This cheddar is perfect for all occasions - grilled cheese, melted on burgers or as a firm offering on your cheese board!
