Tomme de Savoie IGP
Tomme de Savoie Verdennet is a cheese from the French Savoie Mountains. Originally made by peasant families to subsist off, this is undoubtedly the oldest of the Savoie cheeses and is part of the region's economic and cultural heritage. Tomme de Savoie is a cheese of very delicate quality. It is semi-firm with many small eyes and is mold ripened. Around the rind is the markings 'Tomme de Savoie' - a protected seal of certification. It tastes like no other offering a milky and herbaceous profile that completes any cheese plate.
