La Moutonniere Feta Assaisonne
Fromagerie La Moutonnière is a pioneer in Québec when it comes to cheese made with ewes milk. With a strong focus on the welfare of their animals, their two-hundred ewes have free range access to naturally seeded pastures, free-flowing spring water, and are never fed with silage.
Their artisanal cheeses are made with milk from the farm’s own herds as well as neighbouring sheep farms that share these values. However, each cheese is always made with the yield from a single herd in order to ensure consistency of taste.
The result is a locally made feta that is superior in taste and quality. La Moutonnière's Feta presents a very white paste that is creamy yet crumbly. It features fresh milk aromas with finely spiced lactic and tangy flavours, presented in olive oil and herbs. Each package comes sealed for freshness and weighs approximately 125g each.
