Greek Feta PDO
Known as the white gold of Greece, Feta is a traditional cheese made of sheep and goat's milk that has been produced for thousands of years. Presented in brine, with an opaque, semi-soft white paste, this salty, delicious cheese has innumerous uses and is deeply embedded in the culture of its originating country.
Awarded its coveted PDO status in 2002, Greek Feta is exported - and often imitated - on the world stage. However, true Greek feta can only be produced in seven defined regions that sustain the necessary climate and terrain.
This version is produced by Fromagerie Arvanti of Greece, a third-generation family dairy located in Thessaloniki. Made to exacting standards, Arvanti works only with fresh, local milk from free-grazing herds. This dedication to tradition and quality has paid off, landing them numerous awards including Best PDO Feta at the 2017 International Cheese Awards.
Rich in calcium and protein, Arvanti's Feta is matured in brine and presents an upfront tang with a full aroma and delicious, salty paste. Crumble your Feta into salads, bake into puff pastry, or grill until golden brown and drizzle with honey for a salty-sweet dessert.
