Burrata is a specialty of the Apulia region of Italy. Fresh mozzarella is stuffed with stracciatella (shredded mozzarella and cream) and then submerged in brine until ready to eat.
We love this mini version which comes to us from Caseificio Maldera, who have proudly been producing Burrata for nearly five decades. Their dairy herds graze freely on the hilly, fertile terroir of the Apulian countryside, producing high-quality milk that can be traced at all stages of production.
Subtly creamy and luscious, Burrata is best paired with sweet and acidic fresh tomatoes, your favourite prosciutto or a crusty slice of fresh baguette.
