Gaperon d'Auvergne

Here for a limited time, this artisan cheese is a specialty of the Auvergne region and has been produced for over twelve hundred years. Originally made by mixing buttermilk with fresh milk, it is aged for one to two months and contains garlic and pepper. When young, it is tart and firm; as it ages, it takes on a fudgey consistency with pronounced, savoury flavours.

Delicious for snacking, partner with a robust, full-bodied wine such as Côtes du Rhône or drizzle with honey.
